NYMF's most popular presentation, FABLE will play at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center Tuesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 27. NYMF has begun adding performances. Today, July 24 at 5:00pm is the first; Sunday, July 27 at 1:00pm is the second; with more to follow. Composer/Lyricist Christopher Anselmo has been selected as a participant in the prestigious 2014 NYMF/ASCAP Musical Songwriting Workshop, which runs in New York from Monday, July 14 through Sunday, July 20. Today, the 36 nominees for the 2013-14 season were announced at a press conference by members of The Bessies Selection Committee. The nominations (listed below) were selected by an independent committee of 40 dance industry professionals. BeerProv, created by Jim Robinson, is the one of a kind live comedy experience that serves up plenty of beer and plenty of laughs! The show allows the audience to control the fate of the performers as improvisers compete against each other between sips of beer. The rotating cast of comedians improvise hilarious sketches on the spot based on suggestions from the audience. Improvisers are eliminated by audience vote after each sketch until only one member of the cast remains - the last surviving improviser is dubbed the 'BeerProv Champion' and is given the opportunity of drinking beer from the Mug of Champions.
