Liza Minnelli performed in concert for one night only on November 20, at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island. Minnelli, who had been sidelined with bronchial pneumonia, has made a compete recovery and was in great form according to those in attendance.

VIP guests including Mary Louise Parker along with her new boyfriend Charlie Mars, Sandra Bernhard, Tony Danza and Alan Cumming were on-hand as Minnelli performed tracks off of her new album, Confessions, which debuted on September 21.

Oscar- and Tony Award-winner Liza Minnelli has weighed in with the Advocate on today's Prop 8 ruling. On Saturday, May 1, the Straight for Equality Awards Gala honored Liza Minnelli at the New York Marriott Marquis. Liza Minnelli was presented with the 2010 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award. This honor recognizes Liza's lifelong role as a Straight Ally of the LGBT community. Additional honorees included NFL Super Bowl XLIV star, now of the Cleveland Browns Scott Fujita, and international food services corporation Sodexo. The event was hosted by comedienne Caroline Rhea, with the live auction hosted by actor and 'Amazing Race IV' winner Reichen Lehmkuhl. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate.

Gala Chair Liza Minnelli, her co-host Harvey Fierstein and some of Broadway's biggest stars will appear at the 18th annual Kennedy Center Spring Gala, Sunday, May 2nd at 8:30 pm in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. The evening will celebrate Roger L. Stevens, founding chairman of the Kennedy Center, founding chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, and executive producer of over 200 Broadway shows.
