Ann Harada is back as Christmas Eve, the beloved, opinionated, heavily-accented therapist from Avenue Q, returning to make her holiday fantasies come true with the third annual Christmas Eve with Christmas Eve, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Monday, December 12.

Tickets go on sale today, December 8, for BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7, a one-night-only event produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefiting Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year, which was presented Monday, December 5 and today, Tuesday, December 6 at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured performances by 17 of the hottest Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, a 40-year reunion of the original Broadway cast of Grease, a tribute to national touring companies and appearances by more than 300 actors, singers and dancers.

During the final week of Goodspeed Musicals' slick and sexy hit City of Angels, the company participated in a nightly audience appeal. To everyone's delight, this year's fundraising garnered more than $6,500 for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.

In observance of World AIDS Day (Thursday, December 1) the Theater District Shake Shack will offer 'The Red Ribbon,' a special concrete with all proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 'The Red Ribbon' features Shake Shack's dense vanilla frozen custard blended with strawberry & marshmallow sauce, crispy wafers and topped with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. 'The Red Ribbon' is available only on World AIDS Day (the second year).

The original Broadway cast of Grease will reunite next month for a special 40-year anniversary tribute during the opening number of the 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Martha Wash lends her powerful voice, recording with the cast of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13. The track, entitled "Light It Up!" was written especially for this recording by Jason Michael Webb and Lelund Durond Thompson.
