The 23rd ANNUAL EASTER BONNET COMPETITION was a great success with $3,402,147 being raised this year by the 58 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Since it began in 1987, 23 editions of the Annual Easter Bonnet Competition have raised nearly $39 million for BC/EFA. (more...)

This eclectic evening of songs with music directed by Bill Congdon took place at West Hollywood's iconic venue The Abbey (629 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA) at 8PM and featured a special performance by the legendary Candis Cayne (Dirty Sexy Money). It's a known fact that actors like to talk. Stereotypically, they like to talk about themselves: about their latest endeavors, about their past performances and about their upcoming projects. Zach Grenier is a different kind of actor. He likes to talk about Ludwig Van Beethoven. The fact that he's currently playing the composer in Moisés Kaufman's brilliant play entitled 33 VARIATIONS has him talking about the play, too. It's a very special production and it's brought Jane Fonda back to Broadway after 43 years in film, television and activism. Still it is obvious that Grenier is in love with the art of acting and enjoys discussing his current project and the musical giant he portrays in it. (more...)

Last week, Chicago audiences for RENT showed their generosity and support for those in need despite tough economic times by raising more than $60,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. In addition to collecting donations in the lobby each night, monies were raised in special on-stage, live auctions. RENT's very own Anthony Rapp, joined by fellow cast members including Adam Pascal, personally auctioned off two unique prizes: a walk-on role and a chance to shadow the stage manager during a performance of RENT in Chicago.
