The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents TALLEY'S FOLLY in the Janet & Ray Scherr Forum Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

This concert staged reading of the 1979 play Talley's Folly by American playwright Lanford Wilson is produced by Classic and Contemporary American Plays. The play is the second in his cycle, The Talley Trilogy, between his plays Talley & Son and Fifth of July. Wilson received the 1980 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work. Set in an old boathouse near rural Lebanon, Missouri in 1944, Talley's Folly is a romantic comedy following the characters Matt Friedman and Sally Talley as they once and for all settle their feelings for each other. The show stars Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men) and Arye Gross (Castle). It is directed by Robin Gammell. Immediately following the performance there will be a 15 minute artist talk back.

Classic and Contemporary American Plays (CCAP) is a group of acclaimed film and television actors who join together with renowned directors to produce concert staged readings from America's finest playwrights.

The next and last show in the series is playwright Jane Anderson's The Baby Dance on May 4, which stars Saidah Ekulona and Chuma Gault.
