Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. A blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in other Australian rock acts, the original members included Beeb Birtles, Ric Formosa, Graeham Goble, Roger McLachlan, Derek Pellicci, and Glenn Shorrock, who came together with the new focus of finding an American audience. Almost immediately, Little River Band claimed their place as one of the great vocal bands of the 1970s and 1980s. Between 1976 and 1983, their top songs in the United States included "It's a Long Way There," "Help Is on Its Way," "Happy Anniversary," "Reminiscing," "Lady," "Cool Change," "Lonesome Loser," "The Night Owls," "Take It Easy On Me," "Man On Your Mind," "We Two," and "The Other Guy."

Little River Band is considered to be one of Australia's most significant bands, with worldwide album sales topping 30 million sold and setting a record for having Top 10 hits for six consecutive years. Their hit song "Reminiscing" has garnered rare status with over five million airplays on America radio, with "Lady" close behind with over four million airplays. Little River Band was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards in 2004.

Current band members Rich Herring, Greg Hind, Chris Marion, Wayne Nelson (who joined the band in 1980), and Ryan Ricks bring new energy and arrangements to the classic hits, making new memories for the audience out of each live performance. The band continues to add to its legacy with over 18 albums to its name. The latest, Cuts Like A Diamond, released in 2013, features the rich harmonies and layered guitars that first made Little River Band a hit with fans around the world.

This performance is sponsored by the Office of Andrew K. Benton, President of Pepperdine University.
