The Conejo Players Theatre will host a Costuming Workshop Series with Beth Glasner over three Wednesdays: February 11, 18, and 25 from 5PM to 7PM.

This workshop will be structured in a way that you'll learn something if you're only able to attend one session ... and you'll gain that much more knowledge if you attend all three sessions! The goal of our Costume Workshop is -- after three 2-hour sessions -- to leave you feeling as if you could either assist in costuming a show, or possibly feeling brave enough do it yourself!

Session One: Discuss "The Measurement Sheet"; go through a script to determine costume needs; discuss typical costume budget; etc.

Session Two: Explore Conejo Players Theatre's costume loft and begin costume selection based on an actor's measurements. We will also discuss alterations and cleaning.

Session Three: Use the Internet to search for costume shops and rental facilities. We will explore CPT's costume construction room; discuss fabrics & patterns for creating costumes; and finalize budget with all proper paperwork.

All workshop sessions will be held at Conejo Players Theatre -- 351 S. Moorpark Rd. Thousand Oaks, CA 91361-1008. $5 registration fee for each class, plus a $2 material fee (to be collected at the first class). Register at www.conejoplayers.org/workshops.

This series takes place over THREE Wednesdays. When registering, you can sign up for one, two, or all three classes. Ages 12 and up.
