AnDa Union to Return to ASU Gammage, 10/10
AnDa Union makes their return to ASU Gammage after a world tour showcasing the power and magic of Mongolian traditions and culture. AnDa Union's inspiration lies within old and forgotten songs, drawing on a repertoire of music that had all but disappeared. Tickets are on sale for the October 10 performance at asugammage.com or at the ASU Gammage Box Office.
AnDa Union's fusion of traditions and styles from Inner and Outer Mongolia creates innovative and magical music previously unfathomable. The group's music draws from all the Mongol tribes unified by Genghis Khan. With a variety of ethnic backgrounds, group members bring many influences into their music.
AnDa Union is part of ASU Gammage's 2013-2014 BEYOND series, which for 22 years has evolved into a carefully curated series that brings world-class artists into the community. The artists selected present compelling work while connecting with Valley residents through artist residency programs, master classes and public performances. The BEYOND series is made possible by the Margaret T. Morris Foundation, The Way Family/Way Family Charitable Foundation, Reverend Jenny Norton and Bob Ramsey, US Airways, APS, NEFA and media partner KJZZ and KBAQ.
For nearly 50 years, ASU Gammage has been a top cultural destination in the Valley. The Frank Lloyd Wright designed performing arts center located on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University is one of the largest university-based presenters of performing arts in the world and top touring market for Broadway. Home to the Desert Schools Broadway Across America-Arizona and BEYOND series, the mission of Connecting CommunitiesTM goes beyond the stage and the programs and impacts the community through shared experiences in the arts. asugammage.com
