Check out our top 10 stories around our Broadway World below, which include Amy Herzog's AFTER THE REVOLUTION, A CHORUS LINE at the Broadway Training Center, ORDINARY DAYS at the Studio Theatre, and the World Premiere of DCPA's THE 12.

East Coast

AFTER THE REVOLUTION

1. Baltimore, MD: Editor Daniel Collins reviews Amy Herzog's play, AFTER THE REVOLUTION, at Center Stage (playing through May 24th). He says, "As one might expect of a Center Stage production, director Lila Neugebauer illicits top flight performances out of the cast; the pain Ben (Gross) feels at being torn between a father's love for his daughter and a son's love for his father is palpable. Heyl does a fine job in crafting a rather unlikable character who seems to care more about ideas than she does people and remains somewhat blind to the dichotomy of embracing a communist ideology while living a capitalist "upper West side" life." Read his full review here.

2. Rockland/Westchester: Editor Kathryn Kitt reviews A CHORUS LINE at the Broadway Training Center. She says, "The actors all connected to their characters. Standout moments included "At the Ballet," and "Hello 12, Hello 13, Hello Love" brought the emotion of innocence lost to its peak. "The Music and The Mirror," "What I Did for Love" and especially "One" were moving. Standouts included Evie Grandford-Altscher as Sheila, Maddy Murphy as Diana, Anna Fondiller as Cassie, and Kobe Gorn, as the psychological director who wants to get to the core of these dancers." 3. Central Pennsylvania: Editor Marakay Rogers reviews THE PRODUCERS at the Fulton (playing through April 4th). She gives it a stunning review, saying, "THE PRODUCERS, the musical version, is on stage at the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, and it's as riotously funny as ever. Perhaps it's just a little more so, thanks to some inspired casting by director Marc Robin.....The show has some of the best costuming at the Fulton lately, courtesy of John P. White, who's usually seen working costume magic over at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre." Read more here.

Doug Zschiegner

4. Buffalo, NY: Shuffling over to Buffalo, Editor Mark C. Lloyd interviewed Actor/Director Doug Zschiegner on his new project. Zschiegner says, "This summer, I took Edmond Rostand's classic Cyrano De Bergerac, researched the playwright, collected 22 existing English translations, and then wrote my own - with all the genders reversed. The initial impulse came out of frustration with the lack of classical roles for women, but there is a lot of resonance in creating a world where women are the dominant gender (not just "playing" men). The real payoff is watching actresses spread their wings in characters with the depth and range reserved for men in classics." Read more about his project here.

South Atlantic

5. Atlanta, GA: Editor Christie Fisher calls Atlanta Shakespeare Company's THE TAMING OF THE SHREW a "devilish whirl." She goes on, "Atlanta Shakespeare Company's all-star cast brings this battle of the sexes alive on stage. The show certainly begins at a high point with the most stand-out power duo in this production- Jonathan Horne as Lucentio and Joshua Diboll as Tranio. Both performers are articulate in their roles with great physicality. Another great duo is Matt Nitche as Petruchio and Drew Reeves as Grumio. The comedic timing is strong with these characters." 6. Louisville, KY: New editor, Robert Sisk previews Finnigan's Festival of Derby City Playwrights. About the festival, he says, "The works featured in the festival are not necessarily the more expansive projects the playwrights are working on, but rather more concise works that illustrates to the community the playwrights' artistic capabilities and potential. Going forward, the festival will continue to feature the Derby City Playwrights. The selection process for season two of the company will be open July 1-15, and Walker expects both new and old faces to show up for the coming year and consequently next year's festival." ORDINARY DAYS

7. Dallas, TX: Editor Kyle West reviews ORDINARY DAYS at the Studio Theatre at Addison Theatre Centre (playing through April 19th). He says, "Playing the four (and only) characters of this show are the critically acclaimed local favorites, Mathew Silar as Warren, Juliette Talley as Deb,David Price as Jason, and Sarah Elizabeth Smith as Claire, who each bring stellar vocals and depth to the multifaceted characters they represent. With nearly five songs per performer, each member of the cast shines on their own, delivering honest and vulnerable performances which develop as their stories eventually weave together." Read more about this production here.

West Coast:

8. Palm Springs, CA: A new region of BroadwayWorld, Palm Springs is not lacking for theatre! Editor Audrey Liebross reviews BUYER & CELLAR at Coyote StageWorks. She says, "...oh what a production it is! Howlingly funny, brilliantly acted, and cleverly staged, BUYER & CELLAR represents Coyote's departure from desert exile and entry into the land of milk and honey. Those who love sophisticated comedy should be sure to follow the company to the Galen." Read her full review here.

9. Denver, CO: Editor Chris Arneson chats with Colin Hanlon of DCPA's THE 12. On the show, Hanlon says, "It doesn't get too religion heavy. I think that's hard because, well, [composer] Neil Berg is Jewish, and all the disciples were Jewish to begin with. I'm very, very fascinated to see what audience will take away from it. It's sort of a universal story, so anyone who comes, regardless of your faith or non-faith is, or your sexuality or ethnicity, it's a universal story. At least that's what we're hoping it will be." He also talks about the comparison to JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and more. Check out the full interview here.

National Tour Highlight:

10. The National Tour of NEWSIES is playing in Los Angeles at the Pantages through April 19th. Senior Editor Don Grigware says, "This is an endearing piece that is clearly a true ensemble effort. DeLuca as Kelly is a dynamic force of nature but it is the entire group of boys who move the play forward with magnificent song and particularly dance. Luckily, these are triple threat actors, and Gattelli's choreography is fast, atheletic and rocks the roof right off the Pantages." Read his full review here.
