This Saturday, October 19 at 11:00AM, the Carrollwood Players will present a staged reading of Zombies! A Musical?, written and directed by Tiger von Pagel.

Carrollwood Players Black Coffee Staged Reading Series presents the world premiere of 'ZOMBIES! A Musical?' a lighthearted musical romp through the undead apocalypse. Featuring the talents of Michael Holden, Jim Johnson, Deb Kelley, Ashley Kix, Eric Misener, Gregory Palmer, Amy C. Ragg,Miguel E. Rodriguez, Tiger von Pagel and Penni Willen.

There will be a talk back with playwright/director and the cast after the reading.

About the Playwright: TIGER von PAGEL studied theater arts at the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, Connecticut, and has performed at a wide variety of venues including Yale University, The Village Gate in New York City and on MTV in videos by The Beastie Boys, Daryl Hall and Grace Jones. She has performed and directed here at Carrollwood Players on numerous occasions, both in mainstage productions and as part of the resident improv troupe, Nine & Numb. Her first attempt at a musical theater parody, The Carrollwood Players Holiday Revue, was performed here in December 2011. Her life's aspirations include joining Captain Jack Sparrow's crew and having a sandwich named after her.

Black Coffee Staged Reading Series: Come discover NEW WORKS at Carrollwood Players Theatre. Our BLACK COFFEE staged reading series offers playwrights, directors, actors and audiences the opportunity to explore new works of theatre through live readings on our stage.

The series will feature never-before-produced plays performed with minimal rehearsal. The series will include short plays, full length plays and potentially musicals.

Each staged reading will be followed by a talk-back session with the cast, director, playwright and audience.
No props. No costumes. No set. Just words. Heard for the first time. BLACK COFFEE.
