Broadway Theatre Project Welcomes Guest Artist Jay Binder for 2013 Season, 7/7-28

Jay Binder, C.S.A of Binder Casting who has cast more than 50 Broadway shows, will be joining Broadway Theatre Project's 2013 season once again this year as a guest artist.

Jay's Broadway casting credits include; the Broadway productions of "Nice Work If You Can Get It" (2012), "Born Yesterday" (2011), "The Miracle Worker" (2010) as well as "A Chorus Line" (revival), "The Odd Couple", "Butley", "...Virginia Woolf", "Sweet Charity", "Movin' Out", "Urinetown", "The Iceman Cometh", "The Last Night of Ballyhoo", "The Lion King", "Chicago", "Beauty and the Beast", amongst others. His film casting credits include: Dreamgirls, Chicago. Television: Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man, Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures Television. He is the Seven-time Artios Award winner.

The 23rd Season of Broadway Theatre Project will take place on July 7- 28, 2013. Jay joins the ranks of Gregory Hines, Austin Pendleton, Julie Andrews, Joel Grey, Jed Bernstein, and Patti LuPone, among many others as a guest faculty member at the Project.

Broadway Theatre Project (BTP), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization celebrating its 23rd anniversary in 2013, is the renowned musical theatre intensive that provides its apprentices with critical training in the disciplines of acting, dancing and singing, taught by a faculty of accomplished educators and performers . As part of its mission, the program strives to engender students with the personal skills necessary to work and survive in the professional world of performing arts. Sessions are held annually every July in Tampa on the campus of the University of South Florida. 2013 Artistic Directors are Debra McWaters and Darren Gibson.
