A LIGHT IN THE DARK uses well known and much loved popular songs to tell a humorous and moving story about desire, disappointment and dreams. This new version from cabaret performer Tyran Parke has been re-worked from his original and critically acclaimed show, which premiered at the inaugural 'Sydney Music Theatre Festival' in August.

A LIGHT IN THE DARK is the first show in the inaugural AUSTRALIAN CABARET SERIES which aims to present the highest quality cabaret performances on a monthly basis at The Vanguard.

A graduate of WAAPA, Tyran Parke has made a life in musical theatre. He has performed in many, directed a few, watched way too many, walked out on a few, loved hundreds and recently had one cancelled. He has never been in Cats but has certainly been in quite a few dogs. Tyran's cabaret shows have played all over the world including acclaimed seasons in New York. His most notable theatre performance was his award winning portrayal of 'George' in Sunday in the Park with George.
