May Gibbs' iconic Australian children's story of SNUGGLEPOT AND CUDDLEPIE, the Gumnut Babies and their friends, is being bought to life in this new production. CDP Theatre Producers and Monkey Baa Theatre Company are giving the work that has captivated the imagination of children for almost 100 years, a modern treatment, adapting the language that is now a century old whilst still being sympathetic to Gibbs' work to create a new story that will appeal to the 5 - 10 year olds and "their adults". As with Gibbs' original works, this production promises to open children's minds to imagination and possibility. For children, this may be a first introduction to the Bush Babies and their friends. For adults accompanying youngsters, this may be a trip down memory lane and a chance to connect to the whimsy and magic of their youth. This production will also tour the country and learning resources are available.
