Newcastle's Pantseat Academy Welcomes American Composer Elaine Pechacek for Concert and World Premiere

Newcastle's Pantseat Academy is proud to welcome composer Elaine Pechacek, direct from the USA for two different events this month.

The first, "Take You Away," pairs songs from Pechacek's works - SEASONS, DELAYED, and GIRLIE PARTS, with Newcastle's finest musical theatre singers. This unique performance will take place on Sunday, November 15th at 5:00pm at The Playhouse at the Civic Theatre Newcastle (375 Hunter Street, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia 2300). Joining Pechacek on stage will be Lukas Baker, Gabrielle Bock, Hannah Buck, Lia Bundy, Mikayla Burnham, Michelle Burnitt, Juliette Coates, Annie Devine, Hayley Doherty, Nicholas Hamilton, Tashana Hardy, Khym Harris, Daniel Kavanagh, Lauren O'Brien, Luke Power, Stephanie Priest, Rachelle Schmidt Adnum, Amy Vee, Aretha Williams PJ Willis and Alana Wilson.

Performances will be from Pechacek's works and accompanied by the composer herself. This opportunity brings together American Musical Theatre and Newcastle Theatre performers in a one night only event.

Then on Saturday, November 21st at 7:00pm, Pantseat Academy will debut a World Premiere Fully Staged Reading of Elaine Pechacek's new musical THE LADY JULIANA. This epic show is a powerful story of human triumph in the face of adversity. Come aboard the British Transport ship, THE LADY

JULIANA, as she sails from England to the Australian colonies in 1789 carrying a cargo of incredibly resilient women convicts. Deemed throwaways by their society, these women find friendship, unity, and strength as a band of sisters that may be guilty, but are far from worthless!

This premiere production will take place at WEA Hunter (100 Laman Street Cooks Hill, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia 2300) and you can purchase tickets here. Please note that this event is limited to a maximum of 60 guests. It is advised that thickets are purchased prior to the event. Limited tickets will be available at the door.

Pechacek will serve as the show's musical director, and Lia Bundy will be the show's director. The cast includes:
