Pack your picnic basket and get ready for a night of incredible opera.

Some of opera's finest local and International Artists will gather under the stars on Saturday 21 January to perform at Opera Australia's annual Mazda Opera in the Domain.

Part of Sydney Festival, this free outdoor concert will feature a selection of the world's most popular arias and overtures by opera's greatest composers including Rossini, Bizet and Puccini, just to name a few.

Brought to you by Opera Australia's Principal Partner Mazda Australia, who are committed to introducing opera to a wider audience, the evening concert celebrates the magic and memorable moments in opera.

Performed by four of Opera Australia's finest soloists - popular Russian soprano Elvira Fatykhova; mezzo?soprano Sian Pendry; unforgettable Korean tenor Ho-Yoon Chung and charismatic baritone Luke Gabbedy.

The artists will be accompanied by the Opera Australia Orchestra under the guidance of conductor Anthony Legge, with ABC Classic FM's Christopher Lawrence and entertainer Rob Mills sharing the Master of Ceremonies duties.

Opera in the Domain has been an annual event since 1982, when Dame Joan Sutherland sang La Traviata. 2017 marks five years of Mazda Australia as a Principal Sponsor of Opera Australia.

Mazda and Opera Australia are giving away a Mazda 6, and everyone present at Opera in the Domain will have the opportunity to enter the draw. For a chance to win, you can also enter online here. The winner will be drawn on 1 February 2017.

The concert will start at 8:00pm and finish at approximately 10:15pm. A range of food and beverages are available in The Domain from late afternoon to the end of the evening, or patrons can bring their own picnics.

For the comfort of Mazda Opera in the Domain patrons, high chairs and beach umbrellas are not allowed and, to protect the lawn, plastic sheeting and ice are not permitted on the grass.
