The view at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre just got better, and the public is invited to see for themselves during a free open house.

To catch a first glimpse of the exciting renovations that have been taking place all summer, the public is invited to visit the Theatre for a free open house on Monday, October 28, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Crews are nearly finished adding 62 luxurious premium seats in the existing second floor space to create a private upstairs club level, The Green Room. This second floor renovation includes a private entrance, glass elevator, expanded lobby, bar and restrooms, all adjacent to the 62 new seats. The Theatre has expanded and upgraded the downstairs lobby, increased restroom capacity and added a much-needed standalone family restroom. Construction is expected to be complete in mid-October.

"In addition to a beautifully renovated lobby, we are offering our patrons the opportunity to upgrade to 62 of our new club level premium seats," said the Theatre's producing artistic director, Andrew Kato. "With a new seating capacity of 617, club level lounge patrons will be able to experience the luxury of the new upstairs, spacious 23-inch seats, a private bar and restrooms and a grand view of the stage."

During the open house, tours will be provided by the Theatre's staff and volunteers, with the opportunity to walk through the private upstairs club level lounge, sit in the new premium seats and view the direct sightlines to the stage. Tickets are on sale now for all season productions, and the box office will be open for business.

"We could not be more excited about this opportunity to give the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's loyal patrons access to our new club level amenities," Kato said. "In addition to our premium seating area, our new stylish upstairs club level lounge will give corporations and groups an opportunity to offer their clients and colleagues a unique experience. During the third week of the Theatre's musicals, groups will have the option of hosting pre- and post-show parties in The Green Room - perfect for holiday soirées, fundraisers and more."

The architectural firm Designel designed the renovations. With national expertise designing performing arts facilities, their local designs include the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Palm Beach Dramaworks and the Riverside Theatre. Based in Palm Beach County, their practice is focused on arts projects across the country with budgets from $500,000 to $75 million. The project's general contractor is Cutting Edge Building Systems of Jupiter.

The Theatre's planned expansion followed a $2.5 million dollar campaign funded by Jupiter resident and founding board member Roe Green and the Roe Green Foundation, and with the support of many donors in our community. In Green's honor, the private upstairs club level has been named The Green Room.

"We are grateful to our community of donors whose generosity and passion for live theater will allow so many more to enjoy the magic created at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre," said Tricia Trimble, the Theatre's managing director.
