American Stage Theatre Company "After Hours" Cabaret series continues with Aleshea Harris' GRIT AND SILK, Nov. 13 thru 15, 2009. All tickets are "Pay What You Can".

The brainchild of local scribe and performing artist, Aleshea Harris, GRIT AND SILK is an evening of unabashed musings on everything from love and hope to war and breasts. Harris calls upon the grit of dark days and the silk of happy times in an evocative fusion of words and song.

Patrons are strongly encouraged to bring non-perishables as a donation to the St. Petersburg Healthy Start Federal Project Community Consortium Food Pantry. This show is being produced by Bag of Beans Productions, a brand new performing arts company dedicated to the production of fresh and provocative works of theatre, poetry and music.

Performances and ticket prices are as follows:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances are at 7 and 9 p.m.
Tickets prices are "Pay-What-You-Can"

Artist Bio

Aleshea Harris is an actress, poet and singer-songwriter. She earned a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi and has performed on various stages in various capacities in the Tampa Bay and beyond. Notable performances include Black Mary in American Stage Theatre's production of GEM OF THE OCEAN, Briar Rose in Freefall Theatre Company's production of SLEEPING BEAUTY, and the title role in her own solo piece, ODDLIE, which premiered at the Studio@620 in July of 2009.
