That Uppity Theatre Company and The Drama Club Stl present the St. Louis premiere of BROKEN BONE BATHTUB. Created and performed by Siobhan O'Loughlin, this performance piece highlights disability-temporary or ongoing, vulnerability, the female body, community, and innovative theatre.

BROKEN BONE BATHTUB is an immersive theatre experience taking place inside a bathtub, in an actual home. After a serious bike accident, a young woman musters up the courage to ask for help, and shares her story, exploring themes of trauma, suffering, human generosity, and connection. The audience takes on the role of Siobhan's close friends; not only listening but sharing in their experiences, and assisting the cast-clad artist in the actual ritual of taking a bath.

Thursday performances will be set in bathtubs of private homes throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area and Friday through Sunday performances will be held at The Lemp Mansion. Performances at The Lemp Mansion will offer attendees pre show light hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, and post show coffee and cookies. These snacks and beverages are included in the ticket price. Built in 1868 by St Louis Architect Jacob Feickert, The Lemp Mansion was home to the Falstaff Brewing dynasty until 1949 and is presently legendary for rumored family ghosts still roaming her historic halls. Other Lemp attractions include: museum, gift shop, bar, carriage house, inn, and six separate dining and banquet areas.

Accordingly to Lemp proprietor and restaurateur, Paul Pointer, "The Lemp Mansion is excited to add BROKEN BONE BATHTUB to its current entertainment programming of mystery dinner theatre and comedy. In our 35 years of owning and care taking this precious property, we continue to explore significant entertainment opportunities for our guests. BROKEN BONE BATHTUB is unlike anything we have ever done and we can not wait to host Siobhan, Matt, Joan, and BROKEN BONE BATHTUB."

"BROKEN BONE BATHTUB fits beautifully into our history of producing cutting edge performance around gender, identity, and disability and is a natural follow up to two of our long running series, the AC/DC Series and Women CenterStage," said Joan Lipkin, Artistic Director of That Uppity Theatre Company and co-producer of the St. Louis premiere. "This alternately funny and moving solo piece points to the instability of presumed ability and the interdependence among us all. And it offers a uniquely intimate experience for St. Louis theatre goers."

Matthew R. Kerns, founder of The Drama Club Stl stated, "Our mission at The Drama Club Stl is to produce educational work in small spaces telling big stories. BROKEN BONE BATHTUB fits our mission perfectly. BROKEN BONE BATHTUB is a creative empowering, site specific one woman show that has been charming theatre goers across the world for over a year and I am honored that we are part of the producing team bringing to St. Louis Siobhan O'Loughlin's powerful theatrical experience."

BROKEN BONE BATHTUB has been performed both nationally and internationally, including: Twin Cities, Minnesota; Los Angeles, California; Manhattan, New York; Brooklyn, New York; Queens, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; Seattle, Washington; Cork, Ireland; Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; London, England; Belfast, Northern Ireland; and The Philippines to name just a few.
