True to its traditions, Muddy Waters Theatre Company will feature three plays by a single playwright in its eighth season, opening 2011 with The Baltimore Waltz by Paula Vogel, March 4, in the Kranzberg Arts Center theater.

The production features Kate Frisina as Anna who contracts Acquired Toilet Disease (ATD) - a non-contagious but fatal disease - as she romps through Europe on an imaginary "sexcapade" with her brother Carl, played by Stephen Peirick. Along the way they encounter the mysterious Third Man, played by DJ Sanders, who also manages in his first St. Louis stage appearance in 15 years to transform into a doctor and a number of other characters. The Obie Award-winning play, described by Vogel as about relationships, is a comic, melancholic and loving tribute to her own brother Carl. Jerry McAdams directs.

Tickets for The Baltimore Waltz are $25 with $5 discounts for seniors, students and active military. They are available at www.muddywaterstheatre.com and by phone at 314-799-8399. The production runs through March 20, 2011 and performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

Muddy Waters' Vogel Season will continue with The Mineola Twins in June and Pulitzer Prize- winner How I Learned to Drive in November. More information about all of the shows in the Vogel Season can also be found on the Muddy Waters Theatre website.
