True to its tradition of exploring the work of a single playwright each season, Muddy Waters Theatre announces "Mothers and Other Strangers: The Edward Albee Season" to be presented in its new home, the Kranzberg Art Center in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Building at Grand and Olive in Grand Center.

As in past seasons which have included the work of Sam Shepard, Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams among others, Muddy Waters has selected three plays to examine Albee's themes and art -

Three Tall Women (February 13 - March 1): A funny, combative, thrilling look at a woman's journey through men, marriage and the challenging relationship with her son. A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner starring Nancy Krouse, Kate Frisina and Laura Sexauer and directed by Jerry McAdams.

The Lady from Dubuque (June 12 - June 28): A mysterious comedy about three couples and a strange woman who becomes part of their lives.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (November 6 - 22): One of the greatest American plays of the 20th Century offers games, banter, sex and brilliantly funny dialogue among two couples. Another Tony winter.

All performances will be Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. For reservations, tickets and directions to the Kranzberg, visit the Muddy Waters website, www.muddywaterstheatre.com.
