The new queen of violin, Zia Hyunsu Shin, plays Schubert
Last February, violinist Zia Hyunsu Shin showed her true value through , her album and recital by the same title. The album repertoire covering from world music to Piazzolla’s Four Seasons, which surprised even her longtime fans, was more than enough to show her capability to play music of composers and periods of all times. And this June at the DITTO Festival, she returns to the authentic classical music repertoire that fans have been waiting for quite some time to listen to. This time, it’s Schubert.

Schubert’s pieces for violin and piano are also full of Schubert’s originality. Rondo A major with graceful charm, Fantasie in C Major where the theme from the song ‘I Kiss You’ appears, and more requires not only a high degree of technical perfection but also to think hard about the hidden nuance behind the song and about how to embody it in the piece. As there are already many acclaimed recordings and performances, the songs Zia Hyunsu Shin is to present at this concert is receiving much expectations.
