The play, ?Red? has just returned with a new cast and this is its third performance following those in 2011 and 2013.
A double-cast for the role of Mark Rothko is Jeong Boseok, an actor with a thousand faces who has been presenting a wide spectrum of characters through various TV series and theaters, and Han Myeong-gu who has been showing us stable but thoughtful performances through many theaters.
Jeong Boseok mentioned, “It is me who first suggested to perform the role of Mark Rothko as I decided to do when I first saw the play, ?Red? when it was premiered in 2011. And it is my honor to realize that dream.” And Han Myeong-gu expressed his excitement by stating that he, as an actor, was somehow attracted by the story of the play dedicated for the artistic spirit of a painter and that he was just thrilled to become a part of the play where both actors and audiences can enjoy a great deal of virility. As both of them are actors who have been a veteran actor for thirty years since they commonly made a debut in 1986, we can expect ‘Mark Rothko’ in this play to be a man of greater depth than anyone else.
