The musical, A Tobacoo Shop Girl begins with a diary of a mother.

As an owner of a comic book shop, Yuna lives with his father and has been cynical about true love. Out of attempt to escape from her poverty, the cynical Yuna is introduced to Youngmin who is known to attend a ‘prestigious medical school’ according to her assertion that she is going to catch a well-off guy. But there is a saying that the world is fair. ‘Youngmin’ turned out a total nerd except for the fact that he is a medical student from a well-to-do family and the meeting with him didn’t last long as he had to get back to school. Feeling that her life is a total mess, ‘Yuna’ picks up a piece of cigarette on the street, and she comes across ‘Hyun Woo’, a police officer who mistakes her as a teen. At the police station where she was taken from a misunderstanding, she comes across her father, ‘Mansik’. ‘Mansik’ behaves more and more wired and ‘Hyun Woo’ visit Yuna to her comic book shop to make an apology. Hyun Woo comes across Yuna’s mother’s diary at a corner of the bookshelves, and begins to read them with Yuna who has been avoiding confronting them. And they come to find the unknown past stories… What are included in her mother’s diary, indeed?
