South Bend Civic Theatre's Firehouse Cabaret Features a Night of Improv Antics with GoProv September 27-28.

South Bend Civic Theatre in association with Lampkin Magic presents the next performance in the Firehouse Cabaret: improv with GoProv, September 27-28.

GoProv is a collection of local actors, comedians, singers, dancers, teachers, executives, civilians, poets, musicians and social media champions who make something out of nothing. GoProv explores current events, past events and made up events to create fully improvised scenes and sketches. GoProv focuses on short form, audience participation improv comedy games much like you've seen in Chicago, New York, LA, Goshen and on YouTube.

GoProv is led by founder, director and host, Steve Freeto. Steve Freeto has been performing, directing and teaching improv comedy in the Michiana area for the past 7 years including classes at the famed Second City Training Center-Chicago.

GoProv is "improv comedy on the go" and can be found on various stages throughout the area. GoProv is also the "house improv troupe" at New World Arts in Goshen. GoProv shows include Improv Battle Royale With Cheese, The Big Improvski, GoProv Now in Cursive, 50 Shades of GoProv, The Laughing Dead and more. Upcoming GoProv shows at New World Arts include "GayProv A Very Rainbow Improv Spectacular On Ice" and "Funny Boo Boo Redneck Comedy"

GoProv Firehouse Cabaret Show Details:

Cast: Steve Freeto, Greg Sommers, Andrew Kreider, Angie Pippenger, Adam Miller, Geoff Owens, Matt Payton, Alex Kilmer, Justin Williams, Drea Novotny, and "teens" to be named later

Friday and Saturday 7:30PM - 9:00PM "Improv Battle Royale with Cheese"

An improv comedy battle between 2 teams of teens with a referee as a host to lead the audience through the battle (similar to Comedy Sportz or Wild n Out). Each team will consist of three players "battling" in various short form improv games. The audience will determine which team receives a point for each round, based on applause. The winning team will have a final battle amongst themselves to determine the Most Valuable Player for the evening. The winning team from Friday will come back Saturday to challenge a team of "adults".

Friday and Saturday 10:00PM - 11:00PM "GoProv After Dark"

GoProv "After Dark" includes wild improv comedy scenes with "adult" content and "immature" behavior based on audience suggestions and audience interaction. Most of the scenes will be based on short form improv games and some long form scenes. Some scenes will include guitar and keyboard.
