The South Bend Civic Theatre retells the gripping reimagination of events the night before DR. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. The Mountaintop, sponsored by The African American Community Fund of the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, is directed by Shirley Gorden. Be sure to catch The Mountaintop as it runs October 21st through the 30th in the Wilson Theatre.

The Mountaintop follows civil rights leader DR. Martin Luther King, Jr. the night before his assassination on April 3, 1968. On that stormy day, an exhausted Dr. King returns to his room at the Lorraine Motel after delivering one of his most memorable speeches. Then a mysterious stranger arrives with surprising news so King must confront his destiny and legacy to his people.

Tickets are $21 on Wednesdays and Thursday and $25 for all other performances. Student Rush tickets are also available on a limited basis, for $10. Call the SBCT Box Office at 574-234-1112 from 3pm - 6pm Monday through Friday or visit www.sbct.org for details and to reserve tickets.
