Summer's scorching at the Fugard Bioscope with the hottest screenings of world cinema with theatre, opera and ballet productions to be enjoyed from the comfort of a seat at The Fugard Bioscope.

The December and January programme includes films from the popular National Theatre Live's Encore Series offering a selection of award-winning British theatre productions. In addition, there are screenings of Oscar winners Son of Saul and Ida, which is produced by Eric Abraham, the owner and founding producer of The Fugard Theatre and which is his second Academy Award following his win for Kolya.

Other films throughout January provide the chance to see productions by world-class organisations such as the Bolshoi Ballet's The Bright Stream and Verdi's opera Il Trovatore by Berlin's Staatsoper Unter den Linden and starring Anna Netrebko and Plácido Domingo.

The films are screened in the Fugard's state-of-the-art Bioscope, including a 7.1 dolby digital surround sound system and wall to wall high definition cinema screen. Tickets for the Bioscope are limited and sell out quickly so don't delay to book your seat.
