Multi-award-winning Robert Fridjhon will present his new one-man comedy show, WILD, after a long sabbatical in the theatre working with herds of actors. The 80-minute show will open for a ten day run at Theatre on the Bay in Cape Town on 21 January.

Bitingly humorous, often dark and touching, WILD is a fantastical account of one man's accidental journey into the otherworldly realm of the animal kingdom where he meets a stray kitten, a herd of wildebeest and a lioness called Eleanor. Through them he discovers that the earth's creatures know a lot more about him than he ever did. WILD is based on Robert's experiences in wildlife during which he was bitten, kicked and scratched (mostly by people), and then educated by lions.

WILD runs at Theatre on the Bay from 21 - 31 January on week nights at 8pm, with Saturday shows taking place at 8.30pm. Tickets cost R95 - R165 and can be booked through Computicket. Although this production contains very little in the way of strong language and adult content, it should be regarded as grown-up theatre and is not recommended for audience members under the age of 12. WILD is performed in support of the Drakenstein Lion Sanctuary.
