HENRY AND THE SAND, a post-apocalyptic drama directed by Graeme Bunce and performed by Scot Cooper under the Slick 'n Sleeve Productions banner, will play for three nights at the Alexander Bar's popular Upstairs Theatre.
A piece of solo theatre, HENRY AND THE SAND stars Scot Cooper as Henry, the last man left on earth. His world is now sand, the earth having become a desert.
HENRY AND THE SAND bowed th the National Arts Festival earlier this year under the title, THE LONER. Cooper, who previously performed in TAPE at the Alexander Upstairs, received great reviews his performance. Cooper, who appeared in the fourth season finale of Showtime's HOMELAND, is also the lead in the South African movie RECONNECT, which will be released in cinemas on 16 October. Next year, his latest film, the the thriller GIRL FROM NOWHERE, will premiere on South African screens.
HENRY AND THE SAND runs from 8 - 10 October at 7pm. Tickets cost R80 - R90 and can be booked online at the Alexander Bar website or purchased at the bar.
