Fugard Theatre to Offer Valentine's Day Special for David Kramer and Taliep Petersen's KAT AND THE KINGS

David Kramer and Taliep Petersen's KAT AND THE KINGS, the smash hit all-South African musical, is a great way to spend Valentine's Day this Thursday, with the Fugard Theatre offering a Valentine's special - two tickets at R220 that includes a glass of bubbly on arrival. This is a show that has it all: romance, comedy, dance, great songs and a superb onstage band.

Produced by Eric Abraham and the Fugard Theatre KAT AND THE KINGS is set in District Six in the late 1950's, and is directed by David Kramer. It explores the journey of teenager Kat Diamond and his a cappella group, The CavAlla Kings. Veteran actor Danny Butler reprises his role as Old Kat with Dean Balie as Young Kat Diamond, Grant Peres as Bingo, Zak Toerien as Magoo, Carlo Daniels as Ballie and Amy Trout playing the part of Lucy.

Since opening in May 2012, KAT AND THE KINGS has played to capacity houses in Cape Town and Johannesburg and is now in its 10th month! The production will draw to a close in March 2013.

Patrons can also enjoy unrivalled views of the City and the mountain from the rooftop terrace bar when the weather plays along on gorgeous summer evenings.
