After her hit Barbra Streisand solo show THE WAY WE WERE, Cat Simoni returns to the Rosebank Theatre in August with her new show, FRANCOISE HARDY & BREL, SO ALIVE, SO WELL!
FRANCOISE HARDY & BREL, SO ALIVE, SO WELL! is a show of fabulous songs, crazy love, fun and pure joie de vivre featuring all the major 60s hits of French pop stars, Françoise Hardy & Jaques Brel, including "Find Me A Boy", "All Over The World", "Catch A Falling Star", "Only You Can Do It", "Marathon", "Amsterdam", "Carousel", "Madeleine", "The Bulls" and "If We Only Have Love". The songs are all in English with a French flavour. The show is written, directed by and co-stars Paul Spence.
On a rainy night in the spring of 1961, the in-crowd are packed into Café L'amour, the most happening club in Paris, for another swinging cabaret. This is going to be a sensational night for American owner Joe Cottonfield, who is always on the lookout for new talent, because not only is the newly-crowned king of chansons about to walk in, there is also an unknown, beautiful young student of the Sorbonne in the crowd, with a guitar. Her name is Françoise Hardy.
