Poster art for ERACODE | RESTART

The synthpop musical performance, ERACODE | RESTART, produced and directed by Anton Marshall, will play Alexander Upstairs Theatre this month.

Eracode is the musical alter ego of Anton Marshall, a Cape Town singer-songwriter known for involvement in projects like Three More White Guys, Long Time Citizen and The Dollyrockers. RESTART is a musical performance project using live and video elements, influenced by the darker elements of synthpop and technopop genres of the 80s.

Eracode embraces darker themes than most of Marshall's other bands and features contributions with several of Cape Town's popular underground artists. On RESTART, Art Pereira, Carolyn Beyer, Dirk Hugo, Simon Tamblyn and others contribute work both live and digital to create a song list that explores themes of alienation, disconnect and discontent.

ERACODE | RESTART runs on 30 April at 19:00. Tickets are available from the Alexander Bar website, with tickets costing R70 if booked and prepaid online or R80 if paid on collection at the bar. For telephone enquiries, call 021 300 1652. The Alexander Bar, Café and Theatre is situated at 76 Strand Street in the Cape Town city centre and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.????
