ANDRE THE HILARIOUS HYPNOTIST
will appear on 30 June.

With a line-up of comedy, illusion and physical theatre, the Drostdy Theatre is offering audiences a wide variety of theatre attractions this winter season.

ANDRE THE HILARIOUS HYPNOTIST has been entertaining audiences for 21 years with his talent to hypnotise audiences and make them a part of his performance. André ask for volunteers from the audience - of which there are never a shortage - and within minutes they find themselves transformed into anything from washing machines and goldfish to breakdancers and ballerinas - or even Kurt Darren. Trained by the legendary Max Collie, Andre astounds and entertains whenever he and his dry sense of humour appear on stage. ANDRES THE HILARIOUS HYPNOTIST appears on 30 June at 20:15, with tickets costing R100.

Marion Holm is back on stage in DIE KAAP IS WEER HOLMS, bringing to life 18 stories with 26 characters. The popular comedienne will perform on 1 July at 20:15, with tickets costing R120. On 7 July at 19:00, with tickets also costing R120, Marita van der Vyver will chat with Hannes van Wyk in WOORD & MUSIEK MET MARITA VAN DER VYVER. Discussing her book, DIS KOUE KOS, SKAT, the interview will be punctuated with lovely music by Schalk Joubert. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans to meet one of South Africa's most popular and beloved authors.

The winner of Toneelfees, the annual Stellenbosch University Drama Festival, BREAKING SILENCE, is back at the Drostdy Theatre with the winning team from Metanoia having had the opportunity to rework and develop the show with Louie de Necker. This physical theatre production and outlines the issues of how men perpetuate rape culture and offers a glimpse of a better future. BREAKING SILENCE will be performed on 26 July at 20:15, with tickets costing R50, with a R40 concession price for group bookings of ten or more.
