CRY AFRICA is the debut production in the
PE Opera House's Dance Seasons programme

Imbumba Theatre Company and The Port Elizabeth Opera house present CRY AFRICA as the first production to open Dance Seasons, one of the new programmes being presented by the Friendly City's historic theatre complex. For the next four months, a selected dance production run for a week in the intimate Barn Theatre.

CRY AFRICA, written and choreographed by Makhosi Dingiswayo, is a moving production of movement treating the wounds of African civil wars effects on its people.

CRY AFRICA opened at the Barn last night and runs through 23 April, with performances at 19:00. There will also be a 14:00 matinee on 23 April. Tickets cost R50, with concession tickets for students and pensioners costing R20, and are available from Computicket. Dance Seasons is produced by the PE Opera House, funded by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and the Eastern Cape Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts & Culture.
