The Washington Pavilion today announced its President, Scott Petersen, has advised its Board of Trustees of his intent to step down as President in May. Petersen has served as co-President with Larry Toll since September 2013. Toll, who was originally appointed President in 2010, retired from the Pavilion this past November.

"When Scott came to the Pavilion after his retirement from LodgeNet Interactive in 2012, it was to fill a co-President role," said Angie Haft, Chair of the Pavilion's Board of Trustees. "He was interested in working part time, sharing the President position with Larry. They worked beautifully together and the Pavilion benefitted greatly from their vast expertise and business acumen. With Larry's departure Scott has found that the job is, not surprisingly, quite a bit more than part time! This has greatly reduced his ability to travel, spend time with family and enjoy his 'retirement.' We sincerely thank him for his tenure and contributions to the Washington Pavilion."

As the Washington Pavilion looks to its future, The Board of Trustees are soliciting the community's suggestions regarding talented individuals in the greater Sioux Falls area who might be ready to serve in this great capacity and continue moving the Pavilion forward. Please share any names of potential candidates with Board Chair Angie Haft at the following email address boardchair@washingtonpavilion.org.
