Graham Academy Preschool to Hold Open House at Washington Pavilion

The Graham Academy Preschool at the Washington Pavilion is holding an open house this Saturday, January 7 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Preschool staff invite you to get acquainted with the program at the annual open house. The open house is the perfect opportunity for families to visit with and learn about and experience first-hand the unique and extraordinary aspects that preschool at the Washington Pavilion has to offer.

RoseAnn Hofland, Director of the Washington Pavilion Community Learning Center in encouraging parents to attend the open house. Hofland shared that, "The Graham Academy Preschool Open House is a fantastic chance for parents and children to learn more about the Washington Pavilion's outstanding preschool program. Families are welcome to explore our room, meet our teachers, and spend some time in our museums. The Graham Academy Preschool offers an inspiring first classroom experience for young learners in a small setting with big opportunities."

The Graham Academy Preschool's philosophy is to provide a program for the whole child, incorporating social, emotional, fine and gross motor skills, linguistic and logical/mathematic learning and creative development. As well, the Preschool's curriculum stimulates exploration and encourages problem-solving skills, creativity, social and emotional growth coupled with opportunities to interact with Kirby Science Discovery Center exhibits, Visual Arts Center exhibitions and Husby Performing Arts Center programming. Foreign language immersion experiences are also provided throughout the year. Our preschoolers develop a broad knowledge base of the world around them through experiential learning. Their teachers accept them as individuals and encourage each child to progress at his or her own pace, laying the foundations for language, beginning academic skills and social skills.

Registration for the 2017-18 school year for new families will start the morning of January 7.
