Last night, 7 January 2014, was the opening night for Cirque du Soleil 's award-winning production ofQuidam at the Royal Albert Hall. Having already extended the run of performances, Quidam's limited engagement in London is now booking to 16 Feburary 2014. This visit marks the final time that Quidam will be performed in the UK. Noises Off, Curtain Call Performing Arts' (CCPA) critically acclaimed stage comedy, is set to close this weekend with shows on Friday and Saturday October 25 and 26 at 8PM respectively, at the Curtain Call Performing Arts Theatre (formerly California Conservatory Theatre, CCT), in downtown San Leandro. Audiences and critics agree the show is an "ambitious and memorably hilarious hit," as expressed by Julie Grabowski of the Tri City Voice newspaper. Inside the intimate 67-seat theatre crowds have laughed the night away since September 27 and now 12 shows into the 14 show run, on Saturday night the curtain will close on this cast of seasoned Bay Area actors. There was so much awesome fashion from last night's 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, that it was very hard to pick just one person to feature. I loved almost all of the gowns except for a few odd choices I could have lived without (sorry Zosia Mamet). But let's get back to the pretty dresses! There was so much color, so many cutouts, so many daring nude/pastel choices that I decided it was impossible to chose to just Fashion Photo of the Day. So get ready, each day this week I will pay homage to one of my favorite dressed stars from TV's biggest night. (more...)
