The North American premiere of Timothy Sheader's explosive Olivier Award-winning production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar opens this month at Lyric and includes artists Heath Saunders as Jesus, Ryan Shaw as Judas, and Jo Lampert as Mary Magdalene. Lyric is the only place to experience the grand scale of this acclaimed production in its first staging outside London.

In a festive 70th birthday celebration honoring one of theatre's most celebrated composers, NBC is set to air “Andrew Lloyd Webber Tribute to a Superstar” on Wednesday, March 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The musical that launched the careers of composer Andrew Lloyd Webberand lyricist Tim Rice and ushered in a new era in musical theater will open DOMA Theatre Company's 2015 season. Helmed by director Marco Gomez and musical director Chris Raymond, the duo behind DOMA productions of Dreamgirls(Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and LA Weekly Awards, L.A. Times "Critic's Choice") and Young Frankenstein (L.A. Times "Critic's Choice," BroadwayWorld "Best of 2014"), Jesus Christ Superstar opens Feb. 13 for a 6-week run at the MET Theatre in Hollywood.

December 18, 2014 (Ventura, CA) - Rubicon Theatre Company of Ventura has just announced the director and cast for the company's mainstage production of The Last Five Years, Jason Robert Brown's emotionally powerful, intimate pop musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in love and try to hold on to each other when life leads them in opposite directions. Rubicon's production will be helmed by Rubicon Resident Artist Stephanie A. Coltrin, who won an Ovation Award for Miss Saigon in L.A. The role of up-and-coming novelist Jamie Wellerstein will be played by Louis Pardo, whose credits include the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neeley and work with South Coast Rep, San Diego Rep, and Musical Theatre Guild. Ashley Fox Linton stars opposite Pardo as Cathy Hiatt, an aspiring young actress. Fox Linton's credits include Glinda in the Broadway National Tour of Wicked and Cosette in Les Miserables.

Tickets go on sale this Sunday, November 2, 2014, for 'Dame Edna's Glorious Goodbye -The Farewell Tour,' which begins previews at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre on January 24, opens January 28 and continues through March 15, 2015. Scroll down for a sneak peek at the Dame onstage!

On Monday, January 13th, 2014 producers Kimberly Loren Eaton and Alan Swanke presented a reading of Wild and Willful Women to a full house at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Recital Hall, as the kickoff event the 13th Annual TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series. This new musical is a tale of love, lust and witchcraft with book and lyrics by Bill Rogers and music by Daniel Doss. It was directed by Kimberly Loren Eaton, and music directed by Daniel Doss (national tours, The Addams Family and The Color Purple). Scroll down for photos!

ISSAQUAH, WA –Village Theatre's Artistic Director Steve Tomkins 'dreamed a dream' many years ago when he first saw actor Greg Stone perform in Les Misérables. After directing Stone in Jesus Christ Superstar in 1993 Tomkins wondered, “Could I put together my 'dream cast,' that included Stone, and present this monstrous legendary mega-hit musical Les Misérables at Village Theatre?” Scheduling conflicts, rights issues and budget constraints stood in his way, but much like the character Jean Valjean, Tomkins persisted. Over a decade later the stage production rights became available for a short window of time (that window closes when the Broadway revival of Les Misérables opens in March of 2014) and Tomkins got to work putting the many pieces together for a Village Theatre production.

Cameron Mackintosh's latest production of Boublil & Schonberg's masterpiece, LES MISERABLES, the first show of the 2013-2014 Mirvish Subscription Season, opened September 27 at Princess of Wales Theatre.
