Jekyll & Hyde Photos - Broadway

Following the success of four previous West End REP Seasons, the NYT Rep Company will return to the Ambassadors Theatre for a fifth year in September with a radical new imagining of Jekyll and Hyde by Evan Placey who wrote their 2015 hit Consensual, based on the novella by Robert Louis Stevenson. Following the success of four previous West End REP Seasons, the NYT Rep Company will return to the Ambassadors Theatre for a fifth year in September with a brand new female-led adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde exploring women's roles and rights in Victorian society, by Evan Placey who wrote their 2015 hit Consensual. The second REP show, which marks an exciting new collaboration, will see NYT present Frantic Assembly's award-winning modern-day Othello under the direction of Frantic's Associate Director Simon Pittman. Celebrating 45 years since Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's seminal musical first hit the stage, Jesus Christ Superstar is directed by Artistic Director Timothy Sheader. With a legendary score which includes I Don't Know How to Love Him, Gethsemane and Superstar, musical direction is by Tom Deering (Wonder.land, In the Heights and The Color Purple), design by Tom Scutt (Constellations, Les Liaisons Dangereuses and King Charles III, for which he has received a Tony Award nomination) and choreography by Drew McOnie (Jekyll & Hyde, The Lorax and In The Heights, for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreography).

The Group Theatre Too (GTT) recently presented its sixth annual Choreographer's Canvas, a one-night event featuring the works of over fifteen established and emerging choreographers from around the country. The Canvas, headed by GTT Executive Producer Justin Boccitto, played at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on Saturday May 18th and showcased many styles of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, theatre dance, aerial and this year swing dance. For the past 6 years the Canvas has presented over 65 choreographers, giving opportunity to over 450 dancers performing to sold houses. Check out photos from the event below!

JEKYLL & HYDE, the international musical sensation will return to Broadway in Spring 2013 following a 25-week National Tour. The tour launched at San Diego's Civic Theatre in San Diego, California on October 2, and stars Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, alongside Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy.
