As 2018 comes to a close, we are reflecting on those we have lost in the Broadway and theatre communities throughout the year.

Yesterday, Tony and Emmy Award-winning production designer Derek McLane was the recipient of two Outstanding Production Design Emmy Award nominations for NBC's THE WIZ LIVE! and the 2015 ACADEMY AWARDS.

Today, we remember those within the entertainment industry that we lost in 2013.

The New Group presents the world premiere of An Early History of Fire, a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright David Rabe. Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official Opening Night was Monday, April 30 at 7:00 PM. The New Group honored Wallace Shawn and Fred Wistow with the fifth annual Michael Mendelson Award. Founded in 2005, this award recognizes individuals who show outstanding commitment to the theatrical community. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at the Ohio Theatre, 66 Wooster Street (between Spring and Broome Streets). Previews begin on Wednesday, October 28, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through November 21.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce its upcoming revival of THE BULLY, an original musical for children with music and lyrics by JOHN GREGOR and book by DAVID L. WILLIAMS, directed and choreographed by TROY MILLER, at the BLEECKER STREET THEATRE. Performances run Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m., July 6th through August 2nd.
