MCC THEATER will soon feature film and TV star Douglas Smith, Pico Alexander, Lilly Englert, Lortel Award winner Annie Funke, Five-time Obie winner David Greenspan, Colby Minifie, Will Pullen, and Noah Robbins in the New York premiere of Punk Rock, a new play by Simon Stephens and directed by Trip Cullman. Performances for Punk Rock begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 29, 2014. An official opening is set for November 17, 2014 and it is currently scheduled through December 7, 2014. Tickets are now on sale. Arthur Miller's intense drama, raising questions of morality and the limits of family ties, promises to be a special opening production for Raven's 2014-2015 season. Headlining the cast will be Chuck Spencer and JoAnn Montemurro as Joe and Kate Keller. These two Raven ensemble members, who earned accolades for their work as Willy and Linda Loman in Miller's Death of a Salesman and as Victor and Esther Franz in his The Price, will play Joe and Kate Keller. Raven first produced All My Sons in 1990 and they appeared in that production as well, playing George Deever and Ann Deever. (more...)

The event was chaired by business leader/philanthropist Adrienne Arsht, along with honorary co-chairs Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-CA 23rd District, House Majority Leader) and Steny Hoyer (D-MD 5th District, House Minority Whip). In the delightful Otterbein University production of SWEET CHARITY, Charity Hope Valentine (brilliantly portrayed by Madison Tinder) has worn her heart on her shelves so many times that she has it tattooed on her arm. The heart-shaped tattoo could be an analogy of the dancehall hostess' love life. It bears the name of a man she planned to move in with, only he dumped her (literally) and left her to drown in a lake at the park after stealing her purse. (more...)
