East Harlem Repertory Theatre in association with Yolanda Brooks Productions, will revive the critically-acclaimed music and dance-filled play 'MANDELA.'

Abingdon Theatre Company - which has produced more than 83 new American plays in its 22-year history - just celebrated its 2014-2015 Season with ABINGDON: WHERE THE STARS ALIGN, its annual benefit gala and dinner,on October 20 at Espace (635 West 42nd Street in Manhattan). The entertaining evening honored Emmy Award-winning talk show host and actor Dick Cavett, star of Hellman v. McCarthy at Abingdon last season, and philanthropist Dr. Vijay K. Anand, a world-renowned endoscopic sinus surgeon and avid supporter of the arts.

Pulitzer Prize winning author and journalist William Kennedy was the guest of honor at a special toast at popular Theater District eatery, Trattoria Dopo Teatro. Longtime friend and noted film and theater producer Barbara Ligeti along with Trattoria Dopo Teatro owners architect Emilio Barletta & Giuseppe Manica hosted the reception to salute the author on the release of his eagerly anticipated new novel, 'Chango's Beads and Two Toned Shoes'.

On Friday, September 16, McCarter Theatre kicked off its 2011-2012 season with Ten Cents a Dance, a musical conceived and directed by Tony Award-winning director John Doyle, featuring the songbook of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

As announced on the Friday, February 4 edition of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' this spring, Christie Brinkley, one of the world's most successful supermodels, is set to make her highly anticipated Broadway stage debut as merry murderess Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO for an eleven-week limited engagement, Monday, April 4 through Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).
