Tippet Rise Art Center today announced the full details of its fifth annual concert season, expanded this year to encompass two dozen wide-ranging programs from July 10 through August 29, 2020. Located on a 12,000-acre working ranch nestled at the foot of Montana's Beartooth Mountains, the art center celebrates the union of music, land, art, and architecture with large-scale sculptures and innovative architectural structures sited across its hills and rolling meadows and seven weeks of concerts performed in the acoustically enveloping Olivier Music Barn and outdoors under the big sky.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. Tippet Rise Art Center, set on a 10,260-acre working ranch at the foot of Montana's Beartooth Mountains, today announced the programs for its third concert season, comprising more than 25 recitals and chamber music concerts from July 6 through September 8, 2018. Bringing together an international roster of celebrated artists-some who have already made the art center one of their summer homes, others who will be marking their debuts at Tippet Rise, this third season will include extraordinary concentrations of masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach and of varied and exciting compositions from the 20th and 21st centuries. Other programs will feature immersions into the Romantic repertoire-one of the hallmarks of Tippet Rise-and the world premiere of a new piece by Aaron Jay Kernis, commissioned by Tippet Rise and performed by the Borromeo String Quartet.
Classic and contemporary will meet in concert Saturday, March 24, at 8 p.m., in the Virginia G. Piper Theater at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. That's when the Zurich Chamber Orchestra performs Vivaldi's famous cycle of violin concertos, The Four Seasons, along with a recent take on that famous score, Vivaldi Recomposed, a rewrite of The Four Seasons by German-born British composer Max Richter (1966 - ). Zurich Chamber Orchestra music director Daniel Hope will serve as violin soloist for both pieces.

Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing - This summer marks the 25th Anniversary season of Midsummer Night Swing. Midsummer Night Swing takes place Tuesdays through Saturdays, today, June 25-July 13, on the elevated dance floor in Damrosch Park on West 62nd Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
Tickets go on sale for Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing starting Wednesday, May 22. Individual tickets are $17, which includes a dance lesson with a professional instructor followed by two sets of dancing under the stars to a live orchestra. This summer marks the 25th Anniversary season of Midsummer Night Swing, and to celebrate, tickets will be sold at a special '2 for $25' price on May 22 only. There are also Midsummer Night Passes priced at $84 for six admissions, and $170 for the full season. Four-admission passes are available for $60.
