The Man Who Came to Dinner is a classic screwball comedy set in the small town of Mesalia, Ohio in the weeks leading to Christmas in the late 1930s and involves famous (and famously cranky) radio personality, Sheridan Whiteside, slipping on a piece of ice on the doorstep of the Stanley family and having to spend 6 tumultuous weeks recuperating in their home.

The Royal Crown Players of Roslyn High School are starting off their season with the American classic comedy, The Man Who Came to Dinner. Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, The Man Who Came to Dinner was first produced on stage in 1939 and has become one of the most beloved American comedies, with adaptations on radio, TV, and film.
Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances.
