The Billie Holiday Theatre (The Billie) has launched its 46th Season in the newly-renovated theater with a production of THE OLD SETTLER, written by Brooklyn-born playwright John Henry Redwood and directed by Tony Award nominee Michele Shay, October 20 - November 19.

Man Of La Mancha returns to the stage in an all-new production of the Tony Award winning musical that has inspired audiences since the very first notes of 'The Impossible Dream' were heard on opening night. Performances began January 4th in Idaho Falls; subsequent tour stops include Yakima, WA, Kennewick, WA, Cerritos, CA, Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Alto, NM, Prescott, AZ, Palm Desert, CA, Avon, CO, Riverside, CA, Ft. To kick off its twelfth season, Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men's Chorus welcomed a very special guest star: the legendary Liza Minnelli. This concert marked her first appearance in Orange County, CA in almost twenty years. This inimitable showbiz icon performed with the chorus at the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall on the campus of The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa for 'Liza Minnelli with MenAlive in A WINTER SPECTACULAR'-an evening of Broadway hits, Pop Standards, and, of course, Holiday Music.

PFLAG National honored Broadway stars Audra McDonald (THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS, PRIVATE PRACTICE) and Will Swenson (PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, HAIR) with the 2012 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award, presented at the Fourth Annual Straight for Equality Awards Gala on April 2nd at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

On Saturday, May 1, the Straight for Equality Awards Gala honored Liza Minnelli at the New York Marriott Marquis. Liza Minnelli was presented with the 2010 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award. This honor recognizes Liza's lifelong role as a Straight Ally of the LGBT community. Additional honorees included NFL Super Bowl XLIV star, now of the Cleveland Browns Scott Fujita, and international food services corporation Sodexo. The event was hosted by comedienne Caroline Rhea, with the live auction hosted by actor and 'Amazing Race IV' winner Reichen Lehmkuhl. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate.

In celebration of the Tony-winning revival of Hair's cast recording release, company members performed numbers from the show at Barnes & Noble. The creators also discussed the groundbreaking musical and production. The event took place at 5pm on Thursday, August 20 at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway at 66th St), 3rd Floor. On Thursday September 25th, as part of The ASCAP Foundation's NYMF Seminar Series, the cast of [title of show] discussed the highs and lows of guiding their musical from the New York Musical Theatre Festival to Broadway, there was also a performance and cd sigining as part of the evening. The event took place at Barnes & Noble at Lincoln Square which is located at 1972 Broadway at 66th Street.
