 The Naumburg Orchestral Concerts announced the lineup for their 117th season today - The Knights, Handel and Haydn Society, A Far Cry, The Knights return with violinist Lara St. John and East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) closes out the 2022 season. All concerts will take place at 7:30 PM at the Naumburg Bandshell (Concert Ground, 72nd St, mid-park, New York, NY 10065). The Kennedy Center announces the June calendar of events for Millennium Stage, its free daily performance series featuring art and artists representing countless artistic styles. Highlights of the June calendar include many performances dedicated to the United States's original art form-jazz. Participants of the Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead program-the international jazz residency, performance, and composition project that discovers and presents the next generation of jazz greats on  Millennium Stage (June 6-8). Additionally, the Kennedy Center will host eight performances in collaboration with the DC Jazz Festival (June 9-16). Since 2004, the DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) organization has provided enriching and entertaining jazz performances and programs that introduce students and adults from all walks of life to jazz.

Armenian-American pianist Karine Poghosyan kicks off her spring California tour on Thursday, April 12th at 7pm with a solo recital showcasing the music of Aram Khachaturian at the Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale. Ms. Poghosyan, one of the world's foremost interpreters of Khachaturian's music, will be performing selections from her critically acclaimed debut release, Khachaturian Original Piano Works and Ballet Transcriptions on the Naxos Grand Piano label, featuring many of the composer's rarely heard and relatively neglected works for piano.

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced Lincoln Center's 2017 White Light Festival, which runs from October 18 through November 15. With more than 35 events presented in 13 venues throughout the city, including U.S. and New York premieres and nine commissions, the eighth annual international festival will explore transcendence, interior illumination, and faith in the human spirit, as exhibited through artistic expression across continents and centuries. The multidisciplinary festival takes its name from a quotation by Estonian composer Arvo Part: "Icouldcomparemymusic to white light, which contains all colors. Only a prism can divide the colors and make them appear; this prism could be the spirit of the listener."
