75 years ago, Rodgers and Hammerstein's fifth musical as a pair, South Pacific, opened on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre. It ran for almost five years and 1925 performances.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presents Beauty and the Beast, a romantic fairy tale ballet running from February 16-25 at the Benedum Center. Southern Belles, uniting two ground-breaking one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, will headline the King's Head Theatre's 2019 Queer Season, running from 24 July to 24 August.
