ThatOldHippie Releases Debut Book, IT'S NOT OK
by Christina Mancuso - Dec 10, 2014

Skilled travel nurse and prize-winning photographer, ThatOldHippie, has set down the tools of his trades to pick up the pen for his first serious foray into journalism. 'It's Not OK' is a hard-core, no-holds-barred condemnation of American morals, manners, behavior, ethics, and priorities - complete with ruthless commentary on the political and economic enslavement of the American people by their own government. From bad parking to pregnant teens, the educational system, excessive political correctness, smoking, the sin of being a lawyer, governmental oppression, racism, the privileged political process, and entitlists suckling at the government's teat, and from media impropriety, to herd mentality and complacency of citizens, illegals, the tax and child support systems, foreign policy, fast food, 9-11, the failing economy, and driving & eating habits - virtually no subject is sacred. Caution to readers that are offended by blunt honesty or profane language. ThatOldHippie, born to a bottom-rung, middle-class family, graduated high school in 1974, served a term in the U.S. Navy, and later went to college courtesy of the G.I. Bill. Currently a travelling nurse and travel photographer, ThatOldHippie also maintains a presidential campaign website @ RadicalChangeForRadicalTimes.com, where a substantial amount of the material for It's Not OK originated. 'It's Not OK' is a self-published work, and is available at blurb.com in hardcover, softcover, and PDF formats. Gratis PDF copies available for review to media professionals.

World Premiere At Florida Stage THE CHA-CHA OF A CAMEL SPIDER
by Beau Higgins - Apr 8, 2011

The final play of Florida Stage's 24th subscription season is the world premiere of a darkly funny, electric and timely new play by Carter W. Lewis, The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider. From the award-winning author of The Storytelling Ability of a Boy and Women Who Steal, The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider asks the questions, what happens when our 'soldiers of fortune' outnumber our army troops and can art really make a difference in a corporatized world? The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider continues Florida Stage's first season as the resident company in the Rinker Playhouse at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
