Theatre Aspen School today announced that the company for the Spring Youth Production of the musical comedy Xanadu, Jr. includes technical students from the recently formed Theatre Aspen School Tech Company. These students learn theatrical design and stagecraft from industry experts and gain practical experience working backstage. The evening raised an incredible $480,287 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown, MA, has sprung an early spring surprise announcement of his hotly anticipated summer season for the Cape Cod destination. Since taking the helm at the venue six years ago, The Art House has presented some of Broadway and Hollywood's most talented stars. The 2016 summer season will include artists like Kristin Chenoweth, Patti LuPone, Cheyenne Jackson, the Indigo Girls, Megan Hilty and Steve Grand. Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma announces casting and production teams for its annual summer shows, featuring new and returning national talent, including Emily Skinner, Adam Heller, Sandra Mae Frank, Trista Dollison, Kyle Taylor Parker, Jerry Jay Cranford, Martin Burke, David Coffee, Kristina Love, Monte Riegel Wheeler, Casey Elizabeth Gill, and more.
