Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. The concerts are complemented by guest speakers, curators, panels, film screenings and displays of rarely seen manuscripts, letters and memorabilia from the Library's holdings. One of Broadway's most appealing leading ladies, Patti Murin has starred in Wicked, Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu, Love's Labour's Lost, Emma, and, most recently, Fly By Night. Now she is bringing her signature vocal sound and sharp comedic timing to 54 Below. For her solo show debut, Patti will forgo the safety of standards to perform songs (almost) exclusively from the new musicals in which she has originated a role. The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Cheyenne Jackson to Return to Provincetown's Art House, 8/29-31
