Jesse Tyler Ferguson to Lead THE TEMPEST, Lily Rabe & Hamish Linklater Set for CYMBELINE This Summer at SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK

The Public Theater announced additional casting today for the 2015 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, beginning Wednesday, May 27 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. This summer will feature Shakespeare's late romances with THE TEMPEST, directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, and CYMBELINE, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. Jesse Tyler Ferguson will return to the Park this summer as Trinculo in THE TEMPEST, along with Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe teaming up again with Daniel Sullivan on CYMBELINE to play Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Imogen, respectively. Fisayo Akinade, Sharon D Clarke and Alex Hassell have been cast in Caryl Churchill's new 10-minute play PIGS AND DOGS. Rehearsals start on Monday 11 July 2016. Joely Richardson, Cotter Smith to Star in MCC's SIDE EFFECTS

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that Joely Richardson and Cotter Smith will star in the third and final production of the company's 25th Anniversary Season, Side Effects by Michael Weller. As previously announced, David Auburn (author of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Broadway smash Proof) will direct this world premiere production. Performances of this two-person play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on June 2, 2011 with an official opening night set for Sunday, June 19, 2011.
