Artistic Director of Gate Theatre Christopher Haydon today announces the full cast for Jonas Hassen Khemiri's I Call My Brothers, the final production in its Too Close To Home season. Tinuke Craig, former Associate Director at the Gate, returns to direct Nadia Albina,Lanna Joffrey, Jonas Khan and Richard Sumitro in the production which opens on 14 November, with previews from 10 November, running until 3 December. BWW Review: Bleak WAITING FOR LEFTY from Theatre9/12

Clifford Odets built a career off of writing dramas that dealt with class inequality and social injustice in the depression era. His first ever produced play, "Waiting For Lefty", certainly falls into that category. And while the current production from Theatre9/12 does manage some stirring performances, they can't escape the bleak nature of the play itself as Odets drives home over and over the inescapable nature of the era. Gritty, passionate, funny and heartbreaking, Awake and Sing! by Clifford Odets continues to resonate 80 years after its 1935 premiere by the Group Theatre. Director Elina de Santos and lead actress Marilyn Fox return to the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble with a 20th anniversary revival of the smash Odyssey production that ran for nine months in 1994-95. Also returning from that production are Richard Fancy and Dennis Madden; the three will be joined onstage by David Agranov, Robert Lesser, Allan Miller, James Morosini, Melissa Paladino and Gary Patent.
